Ramin Tayani

Ramin Tayani, MD grew up in Irvine California. He attended some of the finest institutions in the U.S. After finishing his double major in Psychology and Biological Sciences from the University of California, he obtained his Masters in Health Policy and Management from UCLA. He then attended Yale University for his internship, completed his Ophthalmology residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin, and obtained his fellowship training in Oculoplastics Surgery from Harvard University. Upon completing 17 years of training after high school, he decided to return to his home town and open his practice by hanging his shingle in South Orange County. Dr. Tayani established his practice, Tayani Institute, because he believes it’s always in the patient’s best interest to see a specialist, especially in cases involving the eyes. He’s known for providing patient-centric care, where patients are treated like family and are involved in every step of the decision-making process regarding their health care. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Tayani regularly donates his time and services to the Child Abuse Prevention Center. He also participates in fundraisers for the American Cancer Society and the American Diabetes Association. In his free time, Dr Tayani enjoys playing poker, experiencing fine restaurants, and relaxing with single malt scotch.
